The all-day, plus another day, battery backup. Overcome the basic drawback of Pixel4.

Google’s new Pixel model features a typical 4080mAh (minimum 4000mAh) battery that’s still smaller than many rival devices but definitely the biggest we’ve seen in a Pixel model. The addition of 5G and the return of the 90Hz screen means that controlling power consumption is more important than ever.
Keeping the overall form factor to use in one hand managing the battery is a really amazing design. Thumbs up for the form factor.
Some reviewers noted that it managed to almost eight hours of screen-on time. Comfortably with regular uses, it can run more than a day.

It understands your priorities. Adaptive Battery learns your favorite apps and reduces power to the ones that you rarely use, so your phone keeps its charge all day.
Google is also introducing extreme battery saver mode on Pixel 5. This allows you to decide which apps you’d like to keep on while everything else is paused. Google says this will get you up to 48 hours of extra battery life.
Coming to the charging point it charges quickly and wirelessly.
- USB-C® 18 W adaptor with USB-PD 2.0
- 18 W fast charging: Return to tasks more quickly with a fast-charging battery. Charging rates are based on the use of the included charger plugged into a wall socket.
- Qi-compatible wireless charging: Wireless charger sold separately.
- Reverse wireless charging: Use Battery Share to wirelessly charge your Pixel Buds. First time in the Pixel series.
We’ll be sure to run the phone through extensive testing to give you a better idea of what to expect in terms of endurance and how it stacks up to other devices.
